How to become a better leader

Vince Lombardi once said; ‘Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.’

Some people think leaders are born—they naturally possess the social intelligence and charisma that motivates others to work together. What happens when you d o not have all the leadership skills naturally? Vince Lombardi believes that leaders are made.
There are leaders who arise out of crisis situations, these are non-positional leaders and ever organization needs them. Every country needs these kinds of leaders.
One of the vital skills necessary to turns a seemingly bad situation into a good one is the art of strategy. One who can do this is considered a leader and valuable to their organization.
In the course of negotiations, talks, and projections, with team members or members of another company to get the best deal for our organization, a useful tool is the art of strategy.
Some of the tools that will help you become a better leader are:

The art of building strategy:

Strategy separates you from the crowd. Why must you learn strategy? What is the definition of strategy? A strategy is a plan of action designed to achieve an long term or overall goal. A CEO, management or team member must be able to understand strategy in order to achieve their set goals. People who think fast are great at coming up with strategy.

Building competence:

Without competence, having a strategy is not useful. Sharpen your skills. Enroll in a training course. Improve yourself. Learn something new every day. Be passionate about self-development. Get skills. Hone these skills. Get new skills that support the previous skill. Then start practicing every day. Practice until you’re good enough. Then practice some more. Determine to become the best in your industry. Competence builds trust.

Get mentors:

The importance of mentors can’t be overemphasized. Rome wasn’t built in a day. It takes time to become what you dream of. If you want to go faster, you need a team. Some people you talk to and it seems you have grown ten years in experience because of the vast wealth of experience from the answers to the questions you ask. Your mentors have experience and are usually useful when you need advice to tough questions on the job.

Unleash your potential:

When you have a strategy, you can start the journey of releasing your potential. Everyone has potential but most people never bother to discover theirs because of the pain of unmet goals or they might have given up on themselves and resigned to living an unfulfilling life. What is your plan of action to living a fulfilled life? The one you dream of? Write it down. Start implementing it.

Conquer fear:

Face your fears. Be courageous in the face of everything new you have to do. Be bold to leave your comfort zone and sail into the unknown. Conquer the troubles ahead of you daily and win.

Be enthusiastic about every day:

Do your homework daily, outline the goals and do your research to figure out how to solve problems as they raise their heads. Remember there is always a reward for solving problems. So a part of our daily goals should be how to solve problems.

Set goals, review then, set new ones:

Set achievable goals, then increase them with time. Have a list where you put our solved problems. A special book of problems solved. This motivation t o encourage yo u o n the day when a problem is proving stubborn; you can do anything.

Build strong networks:

As you do business daily, you are building a network of people who trust you, your skills and your values, and methods of getting your job done. These are the people who add to ou and complement you as you add to them and balance them. Maintain good business practices and u are bound to get an lot more work via referrals.
