The Social Democratic party governorship candidate for Abia state, Hon Dame Blessing Nwagba(PhD) has said that she is contesting the 2019 election in order to add value to governance contrary to ways things are done under PDP led Government in the State.

The Female SDP Guber candidate disclosed this in their Nsukka Street Umuahia party Secretariat during the meeting of the State Working Committee with the party’s candidates for the 2019 election.
The Lawmaker representing Aba North in the Abia House of Assembly, however, expressed optimism that she has what it takes to Abia state to greater heights if given the mandate.

Hon Nwagba harped on the need to embark on an aggressive campaign to the grassroots in order to intimate Abians of the party’s manifesto noting that SDP as a people-oriented party that made waves during the 90s era would replicate same in 2019 if entrusted with power at all levels.

SDP Guber candidate called on women to brace up on the challenges ahead in 2019 and vote her to power noting that the women can no longer stand aloof but are poised to take their own destiny in their own hands.
On his part, the State Chairman of SDP, Hon Chidi Nwosu expressed optimism that his party will capture many states in the country as it is a party that is both youth and women sensitive.

The former Lawmaker of Abia House of Assembly noted that his party is coming on board to effect the desired change and not President Buhari’s kind of Change which he said if allowed in 2019 may take Nigeria below sea level.
SDP Chairman explained that his deputy is a woman just as their governorship candidate for 2019 so as to prove that it is gender sensitive.
He, however, called on Abians to support his party in the emerging political dispensation as the next alternative to PDP led Government.
