Ibado-Akpacha agog as Thousands Trouped out to bid Pa Maji Ojogbane Farewell

It was like a carnival at Ibado-Akpacha community in Omalla local government area of Kogi state on Friday when thousands of well-wishers came out in their numbers to bid their community leader farewell.

Pa Maji Ojogbane, according to family sources started his farming investment at the early age and later deviated to transportation and building material business.

He was described as a successful transporter and a business tycoon who believed in hard work and need to embrace God first in any entrepreneurship.

Reading the biography of his father, Chief Ben Maji described his late father as a true Christian who believed in ‘Agape love’ and derive joy in sharing whatever comes his way.

Chief Ben further pointed out that Late Pa Maji Ojogbane was once
Appointed a community leader, stressing that he used his position then to facilitate development and ensure that peace reign in the community.

In his sermon at the funeral ceremony, the CEFN zonal pastor in-charge of Lokoja zone, Rev. (Dr.) Malachi Ogakwu reminded Christians of the awesomeness of their last day to live a committed life of service to God and humanity while alive.

The Clergy gave the charge over the weekend at the funeral ceremony of late Maji Ojogbane of Ibado-Akpacha, in Omalla local government area, Kogi state.

Rev. Ogakwu who drew the attention of the people to the emptiness of the world stressed the need for Christians to live exemplary life as a legacy for the upcoming generation.

The clergy man who spoke on a topic “Who is in charge of your life as you live or who controls your life as you are living” took his text from Romans 14:7-9, enjoin “the people to always worship the Lord who is in-charge of our lives.”

“Romans.14 . 8 – For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.”

“Pa Maji Ojogbane was born in 1903 into the family of Ojogbane Ocholi Amana Ate Ekele-Aga in Geri Via-Akpacha, Omalla LGA, Kogi state. He started his life as farmer, and later engaged in transportation and timber business”.

In his vote of thanks, the eldest son of Pa Maji, Mr. David Maji pointed out that their late father was a successful business man with a fear of God and lived a fulfilled life, survived with two wives out of six, 26 children and 70 grandchildren in Ibado-Akpacha community.

He appreciated all those that turned out to give their last respect to their late beloved father and prayed God to grant them journey mercies
