has partnered with the (MWAN) to promote cancer awareness in as part of activities marking Valentine’s Day.
As part of the initiative, the airline supported a 10-kilometre “United by Unique” Cancer Power Walk, which brought together health advocates, cancer survivors, and members of the public in a show of solidarity. The event aimed to reinforce the message that caring for one another’s well-being is a profound expression of love.
In addition to supporting the awareness campaign, Ibom Air organised special Valentine-themed gestures for its passengers. The airline sponsored an all-expense-paid trip for a couple who had never flown before, making their first travel experience symbolic and memorable. Various gifts were also distributed to passengers across its routes.
According to a statement issued by the airline’s media department in Uyo, the dual approach of delighting customers while supporting an important health cause reflects Ibom Air’s commitment to community engagement and compassion.
“Valentine’s Day is traditionally a time when brands express appreciation to their customers and communities. However, rather than simply talking about love, the airline chose to demonstrate it in meaningful and memorable ways,” the statement said.
Passengers were welcomed with Valentine cards tucked into handbags and premium chocolates distributed at check-in counters. Airport check-in areas were also decorated to create a festive atmosphere.
The airline described the initiative as part of a carefully curated “Fly for Love” campaign designed to ensure that customers experienced warmth and appreciation from the moment they arrived at the airport.
Ibom Air noted that beyond celebrations, the partnership with MWAN underscores the importance of public enlightenment on cancer prevention and early detection, especially during a season associated with love and care.
