Meanwhile, even though there was a large turnout, accreditation of voters started very late in all polling units in Saturday’s rerun elections for the National and State Assembly in Akwa Ibom.
.

There were however reports of heavy shooting by security agencies in some parts of Ediene Ikono where hoodlums attempted to disrupt the election.

In unit 2 (Holy child primary school) Ikono, accreditation started 9:30 am while unit 14, ward 11 also in Ikono, accreditation is yet to start as at the time of filing this report.

Speaking with Journalists the presiding officer for unit 2,Mrs Mildness David attributed the late accreditation to lack of vehicles to convey electoral materials.
