The Interfaith Mediation Centre (IMC), in partnership with the Team of African Climate Reporters, has lauded the growing participation in its monthly Climate Dialogue, an initiative aimed at raising awareness and combating environmental degradation in Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Saturday in Kaduna, the Co-Directors of IMC, Mr. Samson Auta and Mallam Hayatu Ashatu, expressed satisfaction with the steady increase in attendance at the October Climate Hangout Roundtable Discussion.
They noted that the development reflects rising public interest in climate change discussions and the collective effort toward protecting the environment and preserving biodiversity.
“Within a short period, the Desk of Climate Change and Environmental Issues has achieved significant milestones and remains committed to deepening awareness through community outreach and engagement programs,” the directors said.
They extended appreciation to all stakeholders and participants who contributed to the success of the October edition of the dialogue, urging continued collaboration to promote environmental responsibility across Kaduna and beyond.
“Together, let’s keep Kaduna clean and make it a model for environmental stewardship,” the statement added.
