Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State expressed gratitude to the Imo State chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and members of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) for their pivotal role in his recent re-election victory on Saturday, November 11. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared Uzodimma the winner after securing victory in all 27 local governments.
During his acceptance speech, the Governor specifically acknowledged the steadfast support of the NLC and TUC, commending their resilience in resisting individuals who sought to manipulate them under the guise of an evil conspiracy. Uzodinma highlighted their commitment, stating, “They were resilient in the face of every temptation, they stood by me, because, according to them, we have a cordial relationship. And those who tried to use them, hide under evil conspiracy, they resisted them.
