Implement Arrears Of Workers’ Promotions In Kogi – NLC Tells Bello

Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Onu Edoka has called on Kogi State Government to implement Arreas’ of promotions of civil servants in the state.

Comrade Edoka who made  the call during the inauguration of the newly elected executive members of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, (PASAN) Kogi State chapter, said no worker in the state has benefitted from promotion implementation since year 2010 till date.

He lamented that  salaries of workers remained same  since 2010, just as there are no annual increment, leave bonuses and other benefits.

While stating that the above situation with the inflation in the state have made things unbearable for workers, however, reiterated the urgent need for the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government in the state to look into the welfare of state workers.

The state chairman who was represented at the inauguration by his Deputy, Comrade Meliga Obaka lauded the state government over non interference in union elections in the state including that of the NLC.

In his speech, the Chairman of Kogi state chapter of the union, Comrade Oganza Salihu appreciated the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress for the honouring the inauguration and promised on behalf of his executive members that his team would justify the confidence reposed in them by members.
