Improved Security on Abuja-Kaduna Road: Matawalle Lauded

By   Milcah   Tanimu

A prominent civil society group, Northern Youths Concerns Citizens (NYCC), has praised the improved security along the Abuja-Kaduna road, attributing the success to the proactive efforts of the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle.

From Fear to Safety
Once notorious for rampant banditry, the Abuja-Kaduna road has seen significant improvements in safety under Dr. Matawalle’s leadership. According to NYCC Chairman Mudasir Hamza Zaria, travelers and residents now feel a renewed sense of security on this vital corridor.

“For years, the road was dreaded as a danger zone. Today, the narrative has changed thanks to Dr. Matawalle’s commitment and hands-on approach,” Zaria stated.

Proactive Leadership in Action
The group highlighted the minister’s direct engagement with security personnel and his strategic initiatives, which have contributed to curbing insecurity in the region.

Boosting Economic Confidence
NYCC emphasized that the safer environment has broader implications, particularly for economic growth. They noted that improved security plays a vital role in attracting both local and international investments.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision to appoint Dr. Matawalle has proven wise, fostering a secure and investor-friendly climate,” the group added.

Call for Continued Support
While acknowledging lingering challenges, the NYCC urged Nigerians to support security agencies and leaders in their quest to achieve lasting peace and prosperity.

The improved security along the Abuja-Kaduna road marks a critical step toward restoring confidence in one of Nigeria’s most important transportation routes.
