INEC Reveals Schedule for Opening State Collation Centers in Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi for Governorship Election Results

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is gearing up to unveil the collation centers in the aftermath of the Off-cycle Governorship Elections held on Saturday, 11th November 2023, in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi states.

As per the official schedule released by INEC, the Collation Center situated at its State headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, is poised to commence operations at 9 pm today. Simultaneously, the collation center for Imo State is scheduled to open at 10 pm.

The initiation of the collation process for Kogi State is pending an official announcement as of the time of this report. Although the Kogi Collation Centre is fully prepared to receive election results from all 21 LGAs, an INEC official indicated that the actual commencement of the exercise is anticipated tomorrow (Sunday). The unfolding developments underscore the meticulous coordination required for the electoral aftermath and emphasize the importance of accurate and timely result dissemination.
