IRATE YOUTHS DESTROY PROPERTIES, SET CARS ABLAZE IN JOS SOUTH COUNCIL OF PLATEAUA

Jos South Local Government  Council  of Plateau State, was thrown into confusion on Monday  as  rampaging hoodlums   destroyed several cars and razed buildings, following an alleged minor skirmish between them    and Security Operatives at the Kugiya market in Bukuru.
Our correspondent gathered that the crisis broke out  at the  community at about 2pm while operatives deployed to the Jos Metropolitan Development Board JMDB went into the locality to implement the Executive order recently signed by the state Governor Bar  Caleb Mutfwang.
It was gathered that the  irate youths, armed with cutlasses, clubs and others dangerous weapons  who  resisted the Security Operatives who wanted to carry out the  implementation of the Execution order  ,rather  resorted into violence by burning cars  and shops of innocent citizens .
An eyewitness  Mr  Garba Tanko ,told our correspondent that over 10 cars close to a supermarket in the community were razed down by the hoodlums.
He added  that   the JMDB, along with security agencies, mostly the police and men of the NCSDC, had gone to effect the Executive  order when the  hoodlums suddenly went berserk and confronted officials of the Board and the security men.
It could be recalled that the Governor Caleb Mutfwang had  signed an Executive Order to control the illegal erection of buildings and traffic in the state.
The Executive Order No. 003, 2024 became imperative considering the indiscriminate manner in which buildings were being erected and traffic control abysmally degenerated within the Greater Jos Master plan as well the prevalence of building collapse in the state.
Our correspondent  gathered that it took the intervention of security operative to calm the situation. Efforts  to contact the spokesman of the Plateau State Police Command, DSP Alfred Alabo, before sending this report was abortive
