**Islamic Cleric Apologizes to Oluremi Tinubu Over Controversial Comments**

By Daniel Edu

Idris Tenshi, an Islamic cleric based in Katsina, has issued an apology to Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of President Bola Tinubu, over controversial comments he made in a viral sermon. In the sermon, Tenshi referred to Oluremi Tinubu as an “infidel” who should be killed. The comments sparked outrage, with calls for his arrest and prosecution. In a new video, Tenshi admitted that his earlier remarks were a mistake and apologized to Oluremi Tinubu and Nigerians. He stated that other clerics had provided him with a proper explanation of the Quranic verse he quoted and emphasized his respect for Oluremi Tinubu as a mother figure. Tenshi also urged Nigerians to support Bola Tinubu.
