Iyabo OJo Countersues Naira Marley, Demands a Staggering 1 Billion Naira

Must read

In response to Naira Marley’s 500 million Naira lawsuit, Iyabo OJo has taken a bold stance, revealing her intention to counter-sue the musician for an astonishing 1 billion Naira. The actress expressed her displeasure at Marley’s unconventional approach, criticizing the decision to announce the legal action on social media instead of through direct communication.

In an Instagram post, OJo shared documents from her legal team, highlighting the irregularities in the situation. She pointed out that the letter, bearing her name and address, became public before reaching her, a move she considers legally questionable.

The documents, adorned with the official seal of the Nigerian Bar Association and signed by a high-ranking official, have left OJo’s legal team baffled and concerned about the premature press release. The crux of Iyabo OJo’s argument revolves around the perceived attempt to damage her reputation by releasing the legal notice to the press before delivering it to her.

The actress’s legal representatives expressed shock and confusion, suggesting that this action was a deliberate effort to tarnish OJo’s hard-earned standing in the public eye. The unfolding controversy stems from OJo’s outspoken condemnation of Naira Marley and Samlarry following Mohbad’s death.

Iyabo OJo had previously called out Naira Marley and Samlarry for alleged physical abuse towards Mohbad, also accusing Naira Marley of drugging her children during an event. Her recent counter-suit is a response to Naira Marley’s demand for a retraction of OJo’s statements and a public apology, threatening a payment of 500 million Naira otherwise.
