Jabi Lake Mall sealed indefinitely after Naira Marley holds concert with hundreds of people in attendance amidst COVID-19

Coming after popular Nigerian singer, Naira Marley held a drive-in concert which later turned into a dancing concert in Jabi Lake Mall, Abuja, the COVID 19 task force team has sealed off the facility till further notice.

Naira Marley had earlier held the concert which had BBN’s Kim Oprah as the host.

The concert caused outrage as many people called out Naira Marley and BBN’s Kim Oprah.

According to Nigerians, they flouted President Buhari’s interstate lockdown and social gathering restrictions to host a packed show at his backyard in Abuja.

According to reports, the facts about the concert includes;

It’s a concert he was invited to perform in.
It was meant to be a drive-in concert.
He flew there, despite embargo on flights.
It’s the city’s first post-covid drive-in concert.
Abuja has the second highest cases of covid-19.

However, the FCT Ministerial Task Team on COVID-19 has sealed up Jabi Lake Mall indefinitely for violating Presidential Task Force’s directives on the ban on public gatherings as part of measures to contain the spread of the dreaded pandemic in the territory.
