Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the 2023 election, has outlined conditions that must be met before he agrees to meet with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.
Following the Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal’s affirmation of Sanwo-Olu’s victory, the governor had extended an invitation to Jandor and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party candidate, to collaborate on serving the people of the state.
However, in response to Sanwo-Olu’s offer, Jandor stated that he is willing to engage in discussions with the governor, provided certain conditions are met.
According to the PDP governorship candidate, Governor Sanwo-Olu must:
1. Make public his 1981 Original WAEC Certificate, as he had sworn under oath in his INEC form EC9 that he took the GCE O level in that year.
2. Address Lagosians in a state-wide broadcast to explain the discrepancies in the names on his WAEC result compared to the names on the 1981 Master list presented by WAEC at the tribunal, despite having the same exam number, exam year, and exam centers but different names.
3. Clarify why he instructed his lawyers to oppose their application for a forensic audit of the WAEC back-end server to further verify the examination results.
Jandor expressed his willingness to accept the governor’s invitation if these conditions were met, emphasizing the importance of upholding integrity and accountability, especially for those serving the public.
