An employee of the Jos Electricity Distribution Company, (JEDC), was yesterday electrocuted while carrying out repairs in the Abbatoir area of Jos South Local government council of Plateau state.
Our correspondent gathered that the deceased simply identified as Friday was electrocuted while fixing a fault in the Abbatoir community of the state city.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a source from Jos disclosed that the deceased met his untimely death when electricity was suddenly restored to the high tension pole on which he was working.
Sources said the late Friday was very committed to his Job and always responds to calls from concerned customers when ever there is a fault in the areas he covers.
Another member of Abbatoir community lameted the incident saying that the late JED worker was so hard working
“we know him as a JEDC staff all these years until the unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday afternoon,” the source said
Efforts to reach the JEDC’s Public Relations Officer, Dr Elijah Adakole was abortive at the time of sending this report.
