Jide Kosoko suspends celebration of his contribution to the movie industry over current situation in Nigeria

Veteran actor Jide Kosoko has decided to postpone the celebration planned in recognition of his longstanding contribution to the Nigerian movie industry, citing the current state of affairs in the country.

In a statement shared on his Instagram page, Kosoko expressed gratitude to his colleagues for initiating the concept of honoring him for his dedication to the industry, especially as he approaches his 70th birthday this year.

However, after discussions with his peers, they collectively agreed to delay the celebration out of respect for the challenging circumstances facing the nation and its citizens.

Kosoko emphasized his solidarity with the masses, expressing hope for a swift resolution to the country’s issues. He concluded by thanking everyone for their understanding and support during this time.
