Jigawa govt empowers 35,270 women with N5,000 grant

The Jigawa State government said over 35,270 women will benefits with 5,000 grant across the state.

This was stated by the wife of governor Hajiya Magajiya Badaru Abubakar at the flag off of the distribution of N5,000 empowerment grant held at Kafin Hausa local government.

She explained that state government has spend N176,350,000 to empowered 35270 women from the 3527 poling units with N5000 each across the state.

“10 women were selected from each of 3,527 pooling unit in the state as beneficiary of the scheme” He said.

According to her, N5,000 is enough to start with as a capital for rural business woman such as groundnut oil seller,food,and other small businesses that will help them to became self reliant.

Magajiya further explained that women empowerment is one of the top priorities of APC administration since from its inception in 2015.

She said 8535 women have benefited from the first and second batch of goat empowerment programs and 540 food vendors have also benefited with 2 stoves and 20,000 each.

She also urged all the beneficiaries to make good use of the grant judiciously also ask them to massively vote APC in the coming 2019 general election.

One of the beneficiaries Malama Indo also promised use the funds accordingly also assured to votes APC in the coming 2019 general election.
