It was jubilation galore at the residence of former Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong when Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced him as one of the Ministerial nominees submitted to the Senate on Wednesday 2nd August 2023 by President Bola Tinubu.
Shortly after the announcement, family, friends, aides and associates came to congratulate the former Governor for his nomination which they said was well deserved.
While commending President Tinubu for the nomination, they said Lalong is eminently qualified for the nomination having served Nigeria variously as Speaker, Plateau House of Assembly for 7 years, Governor for 8 years and Chairman Northern Governors Forum among others.
Governor Lalong was also the Director General of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council.
