Jubillation as court squash Kaduna pension law


..Orders SSG, HoS, Permsec Pensions cut refund

The National Industrial Court siting in Kaduna has declared null and void, the draconian action of the Kaduna State Government in reducing the pension of retired Secretaries to State Government (SSG), Heads of Service (HoS) and Permanent Secretaries.


The court on Wednesday in it’s judgement, ruled that the reduction of the pensions of the government officials was done in bad faith and unconstitutional, and therefore ordered Kaduna State Government to forthwith pay them the difference in their monthly pension commencing from the month of March, 2020.Counsel to the Claimants, Barr. Sam Atung said, “Justice have been served.”
