JUST IN: 115 Bodies Recovered in Niger State Flood Tragedy

Rescue teams responding to the devastating flood in Mokwa, Niger State, have recovered at least 115 bodies, according to the State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA).

The agency’s Director General, Abdullahi Baba Arah, confirmed the updated death toll through the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Hussain, during a press briefing.

“Contrary to some reports circulating in the media, the official figure as it stands now is 115 bodies recovered. However, search and rescue operations are still ongoing,” Arah stated.

Efforts continue as authorities work to locate more possible victims and provide relief to affected communities.
