JUST IN: NLC President Joe Ajaero Departs Police Headquarters

Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has departed from the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) headquarters in Abuja.

Ajaero, who arrived at the IRT headquarters at 10:17 am, left at 11:15 am after submitting his statement. He did not speak to journalists at the scene but mentioned he would address the media later at the NLC headquarters.

Last week, the police had summoned Ajaero to appear at the IRT headquarters on August 20 at 10 am to respond to allegations related to terrorism financing, cybercrime, subversion, criminal conspiracy, and treasonable felony. Although he was unable to attend on the initially scheduled date, Ajaero assured that he would fulfill the invitation today.

He was accompanied by Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana, Marshal Abubakar, Deji Adeyanju, and other senior NLC officials during his visit.
