President Bola Tinubu has approved an extension of tenure for the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap, until December 31, 2026.

A statement released on Monday by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga confirmed the decision. Mrs. Nandap, who began her career with the NIS on October 9, 1989, was initially appointed Comptroller-General on March 1, 2024, with her tenure set to end on August 31, 2025.

Under her leadership, the NIS has made notable strides in border management, immigration modernization, and national security. Acknowledging her contributions, President Tinubu praised her exemplary service and urged her to remain committed to the agency’s strategic goals, which align with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The President also reiterated his administration’s support for the Nigeria Immigration Service in safeguarding the nation’s borders and ensuring safe, legal, and orderly migration.
