Kaduna: Bandits Kidnap 2 House Wives In Zaria, injure others

Bandits have kidnapped two housewives at Low Cost Zaria City in Zaria Local government area of Kaduna.


Similarly, local vigilantes have also succeeded in arresting two of the bandits admist heavy gun battle.


The bandits, according to vigilante sources stormed Buzai area of the Low Cost Zaria at about 8.30pm on Sunday.

Narrating the ugly incident, the Chairman Vigilante Group in the area, Malam Abdullahi Tanimu said the bandits came in large numbers with heavy guns and started shooting randomly.Tanimu said, the bandits took about three hours trying to carry out their mission but the team of vigilante in the area engaged the bandits which resulted in the rescue of two kids and arrest of two bandits.

He added that during the operation, four people were injured as a result of gun shots by the bandits and are presently receiving treeatment at a hospital.


Those who sustained injuries are Mustapha Isah, Umar Sa’idu, Hassan Dan buga and Aliyu Abdullahi whom are all teenagers.


Some residents interviewed on the development expressed concerned and assured the vigilantee group of their full support at all times.


The arrested bandits are at Police custody in Zaria at the time of filing this report.
All efforts to further investigate the incident proved abortive as authorities denied journalists access into the premises of the Devisional Police station.
