Kaduna LG Polls: KADSIECOM Screens 76 Candidates

Hajiya Muhammad, Chairman of the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM), announced the completion of the candidate screening for the forthcoming Local Government elections in Kaduna. The commission has reviewed candidates for both chairmanship and councillorship positions from ten political parties.

Muhammad described the screening as successful and assured that the elections would be conducted smoothly. Representatives from the Police, DSS, NDLEA, and the Board of Internal Revenue Services were present during the screening, which Muhammad praised as a positive sign of readiness and cooperation among stakeholders.

She urged the candidates to maintain peaceful and orderly conduct leading up to and during the elections to ensure a successful process. A total of 76 candidates have been screened as part of the preparations for the local government elections.
