Motorists in Kaduna have expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of repair work conducted on the Sabo Rail Bridge to Command Junction Expressway in Chikun local government area, labeling it as below standard. The rehabilitation project was undertaken by the Federal Ministry of Works.
Motorists voiced their concerns regarding the recent maintenance efforts, criticizing the contractor for inadequately addressing the potholes on the road. They argued that the repairs were insufficient, with potholes still posing a hazard to drivers.
Despite their discontent with the execution of the project, motorists did acknowledge the initiative of the Federal Ministry of Works. However, they highlighted shortcomings in the implementation, particularly regarding the durability of the repairs. They noted that while the potholes were filled with tar, the walkways were only graded and filled with sand, a measure deemed ineffective as it could easily be washed away during the rainy season.
The dissatisfaction among motorists underscores the importance of ensuring quality infrastructure maintenance to enhance road safety and efficiency.
