Residents of Kaduna State have appealed for an extension of a free medical outreach organised by the Brother Paul Legacy Foundation at Nazareth Baptist Church, Ungwan Boro, in Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area. The three-day programme, which targets low-income residents, recorded a large turnout, with women forming the majority of beneficiaries.
Speaking to journalists, the team leader, Kingsley Kure, said the outreach provides free treatment for various health conditions but does not include surgical procedures. He said services are offered daily in morning and evening sessions.Kure explained that the foundation responds to invitations from communities and traditional leaders. According to him, the group has conducted similar outreach programmes in parts of Kaduna State since last year.
He said the foundation’s mission is to provide healthcare support to vulnerable individuals who may not afford medical services. In addition to medical outreach, he noted that the organisation also supports communities through food donations, clothing distribution and educational assistance.
Kure said the team was considering extending the exercise until Sunday following requests from beneficiaries. Some residents who spoke at the venue expressed appreciation for the initiative and appealed for its continuation to accommodate more people. The outreach was conducted in collaboration with community leaders in the area.
