Narrating the ugly situation to our correspondent with anger, the victim lamented that she has never been invited by her lawyer to any court for sitting since the case was reportedly filled in court in 2021.

She also expressed dismay that her lawyer Barrister Samuel Atung, no longer pick her calls to even enable her enquire and know the state of matter with the case in court.

According to her, the last time she spoke with the lawyer was when the Barr told her the amount of money needed to file the case in court.

She said the lawyer however told her not to worry and promised to source for the funds from the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) officials when she told him about her financial condition.

Mrs. Yakubu explained that as at last count, she heard that Barr Atung got N750, 000 from Hon. Reps Yakubu Barde and N500, 000 from the PDP through it spokesman Ibrahim Kato and file the case in court.

But he did not give me anything when he got the money and if I call, he won’t pick my call”, she stressed.

“People should help the voiceless. Journalists should help us follow up this kinds of oppression by people elected to protect the poor citizens. Femi Falana (SAN) wanted to help me through one Maxwell in Kaduna and even barrister Balanson because I don’t have money needed to fight the matter myself but Barr Atung said he’ll handle it because he’s one that’s handling the criminal case of the matter yet to be determined. I don’t know why judgement has not been passed even on the criminal case Atung is also handling even though I’m not directly involved in that one but was all the time going to court even as witness”, she narrated.

She however stated that a lady called her early January this year saying they were in court for my case and wanted to know if I’m the rightful owner of the demolished building, hosting my restaurant.
