Kaduna State Enforces 24-Hour Curfew Amid Security Concerns

By   Milcah    Tanimu

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has announced a 24-hour curfew for the Kaduna and Zaria metropolitan areas in response to escalating security issues. The decision, communicated in a statement on Monday by Samuel Aruwan, the Overseeing Commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, comes after a review by the Kaduna State Security Council.

The statement revealed that the ongoing protests have been overtaken by criminal elements engaged in looting and vandalism. As a result, the council decided to impose the curfew to curb these activities and restore order.

Residents are instructed to stay indoors as security forces work to secure the areas. The situation will be monitored closely, and the curfew will be reassessed as needed.
