Kano citizens have prepared for this year’s Eid-el Kabir Celebrations despite financial scarcity which is hitting the livelihood since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic across the globe.
Daybreak reporter who monitored how the people purchases items for Sallah festivities reported that livestock dealers at the rural areas were seen busy selling their products in an open places like Camels, cattle, small ruminants and different species of poultry for the annual celebrations and sacrifices.
Similarly, the city of kano remained busy where people especially women were seen purchasing items like cosmetics and other fashion materials for use during the festivals as seen every year as an annual Islamic religious events.
Furthermore, all eid prayer grounds visited by our reporter were clean and tidy where most of the prayers would starts by 8-9am tomorrow Friday which is the Eid-el Kabir day, while the security agencies remain ready to ensure that the Sallah celebrations become hitch free at both rural and urban areas.
Speaking to Daybreak news in the city of kano, some of the residents disclosed that ” Although this year’s Sallah was threatened by the Covid-19 pandemic in the globe, we would use the events in pray for the total eradication of the deadly disease, and other disturbing issues that is also retarding the economic progress in the world at large “.
