Kano Emirship crisis moves to Abuja as Gov. Yusuf meets NSA

By Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

The Kano state Governor Abba Yusuf has reportedly met with the National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu in Abuja, following the Emirates Tussle in the state.

The governor announced this on his verified X platform (formerly Twitter) saying that he had a fruitful meeting with Ribadu.

He stated that “I had a fruitful engagement with the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, this afternoon in Abuja”.

It would be recalled that the Kano state government, through the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam, publicly apologized to the NSA for wrongly accusing him of plotting the Emirate tussle in the state.

The deputy governor further assured the NSA of the state government’s cooperation and support.

Meanwhile the outcome of the meeting with the NSA has not been made public while the Emirate tussle is waiting to face the judiciary on the 3rd of June, 2024.
