Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, on the occasion of his 68th birthday.

In a statement released on Monday by Sanusi Bature, the governor’s spokesperson, Yusuf praised Kwankwaso’s exceptional leadership and widespread political influence across Nigeria. He described Kwankwaso as a mentor who has nurtured countless leaders across various fields.

Reflecting on his long association with Kwankwaso, Yusuf stated, “In the 38 years I’ve known and worked with you, I have gained invaluable life lessons and experiences. You exemplify honesty, dedication, and service to the people.”

He further commended Kwankwaso’s political philosophy for its positive impact on communities and leadership development, particularly in Northern Nigeria, describing him as a key figure in the nation’s political landscape.

Highlighting Kwankwaso’s extensive career, the governor noted his contributions in various roles, including Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Governor of Kano State, Minister of Defence, Special Envoy to Darfur and Somalia, Senator, and most recently, the NNPP’s presidential candidate.

“On behalf of myself, my family, the government, and the people of Kano State, I wish you many more years of service to humanity,” Yusuf concluded.
