Kano Governor Presents ₦549 Billion Appropriation Bill for 2025

Kano State Governor, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, presented a budget proposal of over ₦549 billion for 2025 to the State House of Assembly on Friday morning.

Titled the “Budget of Hope, Human Capital, and Economic Development,” the proposed budget aims to drive rapid progress across all sectors in Kano, with the education sector receiving the largest allocation at 31%.

Governor Yusuf emphasized that, if approved, his administration would utilize the budget to its fullest potential and urged Assembly members to support its swift passage to enable effective implementation.

Reassuring Kano residents, Governor Yusuf stated that his administration is committed to ensuring comprehensive development across sectors, particularly given the trust placed in him to fulfill his policies.

In response, Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, affirmed that the Assembly members are prepared to act promptly, aiming for Kano to be among the states that enact their Appropriation Bill swiftly for effective implementation in 2025.
