Kano Governor Swears in New Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, and Advisers

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, on Monday, inaugurated seven new commissioners, six permanent secretaries, and 13 special advisers as part of his administration’s drive to enhance governance in the state.

The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Government House, was attended by dignitaries and supporters of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

The newly appointed commissioners include:
– Ibrahim Wayya (Information)
– Shehu Wada Sagagi (Investment, Commerce, and Industry)
– Dahiru Muhammad Hashim (Environment)
– Ismail Aliyu Danmaraya (Finance)
– Gaddafi Shehu (Power and Sustainable Energy)
– Abdulkadir Abdulsalam (Rural and Community Development)
– Nura Iro Maaji (Public Procurement)

During his address, Governor Yusuf emphasized the importance of commitment and dedication in their roles, urging them to contribute meaningfully to the administration’s objectives.

“Your appointments were made after a careful selection of capable individuals who can support our mission to deliver good governance. Our administration will continue to focus on infrastructure, education, health, women and youth empowerment, water supply, and improved agriculture,” the governor stated.

He also praised the State House of Assembly for its cooperation in advancing the state’s development.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees, the Commissioner for Investment, Commerce, and Industry, Shehu Wada Sagagi, expressed gratitude for the governor’s confidence in them.

“We are deeply honored by this trust and assure you of our tireless efforts to justify it,” Sagagi said.

The appointments reflect Governor Yusuf’s commitment to strengthening his administration’s capacity to deliver impactful governance for the people of Kano State.
