Katsina Police Offer N50 Million Bounty for Capture of Alleged Bandit Kingpins

In response to escalating security concerns, the Katsina State Police Command has announced a fifty million naira bounty on two alleged bandit kingpins, identified as Modi Modi and Jan Kare.

A special bulletin issued by the command’s spokesperson, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, highlighted that the wanted individuals are believed to be operating in Kankara and Safana Local Government Areas of the state.

Titled “Public Notice: Fifty Million Naira Reward for Information Leading to Arrest of Banditry Kingpins,” the bulletin emphasizes the commitment of the Katsina State Government and security agencies to safeguarding residents and maintaining peace and stability.

The initiative aims to bolster security operations and combat criminal activities such as kidnapping and banditry. The identity of informants will be strictly protected to ensure their safety.

Citizens with relevant information are urged to contact the command headquarters or the nearest security agency, or call the provided hotline numbers. This announcement follows recent bandit attacks in various communities within Katsina State, prompting protests and calls for increased security measures. Governor Dikko Radda, accompanied by the state police commissioner, also appealed to the Federal Government for additional security personnel to address the security challenges facing the state.
