Katsina Road Overtaken By Flood After Down Pour

Residents of Rijiyar Lemo Quarters called on the government of kano state to save their souls due to the increased flooding whenever it rains around Yan Babura to Dogon Bene area where a heavy traffic jam is being encountered daily whenever it rains.

Daybreak correspondent in kano who visited the area gathered that there is a heavy traffic jam whenever it rains because all the motorists dodge the floods for safer location, while some of the people resolved to pass through the streets to their various destinations which certainly needs government’s urgent consideration.

Most of the people that spoke with our correspondent advised the kano state government to intervene and provide a good drainage and culverts after expanding the road so as to reduce the problems of the flooding whenever it rains, and solicit total survey at the road side because some of the structures were done on the waterways that helped in blocking the passage of the excess water after rainfalls.

Furthermore, some of the resident complained that whenever it rains, they encountered serious damage due to the water flow into their houses, shops or business stalls where they called on the kano urban development agency, KNUPDA and similar organisations to save them from the menance of overfloodings which also resulted in heavy traffic jam around Yan Babura to dogon bene area.
