The Kaduna State Government (KDSG) has announced it will begin refunding individuals who purchased houses at Queen Amina College, Kaduna; Alhuda-Huda College, Zaria; and Government Commercial College, Zaria, starting Monday, July 7, 2025.
This follows Governor Uba Sani’s revocation of all previous sales of institutional houses in these legacy schools, citing overriding public interest.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. AbdulKadir Mu’azu Meyere, confirmed that payments would be made in line with the governor’s earlier directive.
Beneficiaries are to collect their refund cheques at the Secretariat of the Sale of Non-Essential Government Houses, located at Hassan Usman Katsina House, Kawo, Kaduna. The following documents must be presented:
- Evidence of payment
- A valid means of identification (e.g., voter’s card, national ID)
- Bank details (including bank name, account number, and BVN slip)
- A recent bank statement
- Two passport photographs
The government reiterated its commitment to creating a conducive learning environment in schools as part of broader efforts to strengthen human capital development in the state.
