By Noah Ocheni, Lokoja

The Academic Board of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has approved the 2024/2025 second semester results for graduating students of the National Diploma (ND II) and Higher National Diploma (HND II) programmes across various departments.

This was revealed in a statement signed by the Director of Public Relations and Protocol, Uredo Omale, on Monday. According to the breakdown, a total of 56 students graduated with distinctions, comprising 20 from ND II and 36 from HND II programmes.

The statement noted that the Academic Board meeting, held at the Polytechnic’s Academic Office Complex, was chaired by the Rector and Board Chairman, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman. During the session, Professor Usman commended the Central Result Verification Committee, headed by Deputy Rector Dr. Samuel Taiwo Olowo, for conducting a transparent and comprehensive review of the results.

He also lauded the efforts of the Deans of Schools, Heads of Departments, and the Director of the Information Technology Resource Centre (ITRC) for their diligence and commitment during the results processing and verification exercise.

Expressing gratitude to the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Professor Usman acknowledged the state government’s continued support in promoting educational excellence and infrastructural development in the Polytechnic. He emphasized that the enabling environment provided by the government has played a vital role in sustaining the institution’s academic growth.

“The management of Kogi State Polytechnic remains committed to transparency, academic integrity, and the holistic development of our students,” Professor Usman said.

He urged the graduating students to remain worthy ambassadors of the Polytechnic and to uphold the institution’s values wherever they go. He also encouraged current students to stay focused on their academic goals, assuring them that the management would continue to strengthen the Polytechnic’s educational standards.

The Rector reiterated that the Polytechnic’s achievements reflect its dedication to academic excellence, student welfare, and institutional advancement.

The release of the 2024/2025 second semester results marks another milestone in the Polytechnic’s ongoing effort to maintain its reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading institutions for technical and vocational education.
