KWARA COUNTS BLESSINGS AS BUHARI MARKS 76

By: Raheem Adedoyin

As President Muhammadu Buhari marks his 76th Birthday today, Kwarans are counting their blessings under his Administration. And, to wit, they are praying he takes them to the Next Level.

Kwara state is a major beneficiary of the infrastructural projects and Social Investment Programmes of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

The complete rehabilitation of Ilorin-Jebba-Mokwa road, patching of potholes, strengthening of pavements, repairs of failed sections and general maintenance works along Ilorin-Ganmo-AjaseIpo Road, the ongoing dualization of the Michael Imoudu Road, Ilorin- Ganmo Highway, the ongoing rehabilitation of Offa- Ajassepo road as well as installation/rehabilitation of streetlights on Ilorin-Ogbomosho road are some of the achievements of the APC led federal government in Kwara state.

Kwarans have also benefitted from the Administration’s programmes, including NPower, TraderMoni all of which seek to address the needs of the poor.

Indeed, only 11 days ago, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo visited Kwara to launch the TraderMoni scheme. The rousing reception he recieved attests to the popularity of the Administration in Kwara.

President Muhammadu Buhari has further demonstrated his love for Kwara through the appointment of Kwarans into key positions at the federal level. Today, the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture, and a star in the Buhari’s Cabinet, Alh. Lai Mohammed is proudly a Kwaran; the Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Mallam Is’haq Modibo Kawu is from Kwara; Nigeria’s Ambassadors to Japan and Malaysia, Prof. Mohammed Gana Yisa and Alhaji Nurudeen Mohammed are also from Kwara.

Asides that, several Kwarans were appointed by the administration of President Buhari as board chairmen and members in different federal government agencies.

I make bold to say that Kwara has never enjoyed opportunities the current Administration of Buhari accords it. This is an indication that the welfare of Kwarans is a major priority of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

We may not be where we ought to be but we are certainly not where we used to be. Come February 2019, we are moving to the Next Level with the Buhari Administration.

On behalf of the teeming members of the *National Committee for Buhari Support Groups (NCBSG)*, Kwara State Chapter, I sincerely wish the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, a very Happy Birthday.
Many Happy Returns sir.

*Signed*:

Oloriewe Raheem Adedoyin,
State Coordinator,
NCBSG,
KWARA State Chapter.
