Labour Party Chieftain Urges Tinubu to Reverse Fuel Price Hike

Labour Party (LP) leader Moshood Adegoke Salvador has called on President Bola Tinubu to reverse the recent fuel price hike. Speaking at a caucus meeting, Salvador criticized the increase, citing the financial strain it has placed on Nigerians. He urged the government to revert to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) distribution system to lower fuel costs.

Salvador, a former House of Representatives member, highlighted Nigeria’s existing petroleum distribution network, stating that it should be utilized to ease the burden on citizens. He also called for a policy ensuring 5% of daily crude production is reserved for domestic refining.

Additionally, LP Deputy National Youth Leader Abotu Johnson reaffirmed that Julius Abure remains the party’s national chairman, dismissing any claims of internal crisis.
