By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

The Lagos State Pilgrims contingent in a historic moment in the Holy Land hoisted the Nigerian National flag when they raise it up.

The spiritual activities began on Wednesday with a serene boat cruise on the Sea of Galilee with songs of praises, sermons, and prayers.

Pilgrims proudly sang the Nigerian National Anthem, hoisting the flag alongside the Israeli flag with great joy and enthusiasm.

Other iconic sites visited the same day were Mount Tabor, where the Transfiguration of Jesus took place. The Mount of Beatitudes and Capernaum the City of Jesus, where pilgrims prayed for divine healing.

Highlight of the day was a colourful ceremony at Tabar Hotel, Nazareth, where pilgrims received certificates honouring them as Jerusalem Pilgrims, JP.
