Langtang South Council boss Hon Nanfa Nbin has declared free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms to indigent secondary school leavers for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration.
This was contained in a statement signed by Lucky Fadam Julfa, the Chief of Staff to the Council boss and made available to Journalist in Jos.
The statement reads that ” The Executive Chairman of Langtang South, Hon. Nanfa Alhassan Nbin, has declared free Jamb for secondary school leavers.”
” Interested applicants are advised to visit the Council Secretariat starting from Tuesday and throughout the week to complete their registration.”
The council boss added that ” The progress of the world depends almost entirely upon education,” “this serves as a motivating factor for our grassroots government to propel our indigent students to further their educational career and achieving their desirable goal in life.”
He added that the free UTME forms would encourage the beneficiaries to study harder.
“Our primary objective is to encourage and raise the bar of literacy and promote tertiary education among the youths. ”
“It is worthy of mention that this gesture goes beyond making available to the beneficiaries forms, it also avails them unique opportunities that would put them in a vantage position for the future tasks.”
“Our administration recognises the importance of education hence our investment in the sector. ”
“This initiative is a testimony to our administration’s commitment to ensuring that quality education is accessible to all”
The statement added that “Additionally, plans have been finalized for the payment of financial support to tertiary students from Langtang South LGA, Postgraduate students pursuing Master’s and Doctoral Degrees are encouraged to apply separately for consideration, the statement further reads.
