Las Vegas police conduct search warrant related to Tupac Shakur murder investigation

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has confirmed that a search warrant was executed at a location in Henderson, Nevada on July 17, 2023, as part of the ongoing investigation into the 1996 murder of musician Tupac Shakur. The exact location of the search has not been disclosed by authorities.

Tupac Shakur was fatally shot multiple times in Las Vegas while leaving a boxing match at the MGM Grand hotel. He was in a vehicle with former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight when a white Cadillac approached them and opened fire from the rear window. Although authorities believed Shakur was the intended target, the case has remained unsolved since 1996.

LVMPD’s statement acknowledged the search warrant but provided no further details at this time. it has reached out for additional information regarding the investigation.
