Lawmaker makes fresh demand to FG on bandit leaders

Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah, representing Kebbi South, has asked the Federal Government of Nigeria to declare all known leaders of terrorists, known locally as bandits, wanted.
The call was made on Thursday in an interview with Arise TV, monitored by POLITICS NIGERIA.
He said there is an urgent need to surmount all kinds of kidnappings, banditry and related security challenges in Wasagu-Danko, Sakaba, and Yauri Local Government Areas of Kebbi State.
The lawmaker stated that the bandits now conduct their criminal operations in broad daylight, fully armed on motorcycles, and shooting and killing whoever was unfortunate to come their way.
“The last four days has been very disturbing. We’ve had a lot of attacks that are too unpleasant to state in the public. And people are worried that except an urgent step is taken by the Federal Government, we never can know when this will stop,” Senator Na’Allah said.
“And I feel that, maybe at this stage, it will be charitable enough to ask the Federal Government to first of all accept the fact that these are terrorists, and then maybe a presidential order to all the security agencies to produce dead or alive the heads of the banditry gangs. And I think that a coordinated, massive deployment of troops should be able to achieve that within a reasonable time.”
