The Adjutant General California National Guard in United States of America, Major General David Baldwin has described leadership as key instrument in winning military battles.

Major General Baldwin expressed this expert opinion while delivering a lecture titled Strategies and Operation Leadership:Challenges to participants of Army War College Nigeria (AWCN) Course 2/2018.

He said, “Three things are essential in the business of war. These include leadership that has impact on decision making, spirituality to take care of things beyond control and care of the family who bears the brunt of the military profession as a result of the disposition of military personnel to the service of the nation”.

He said that his engagement team was in Nigeria to dialogue and explore partnership opportunities in areas of building leadership capabilities, and disaster response.
