By Becky Adi

A Lebanese national has been arrested for impregnating seven minors at the abattoir community, a suburb of Jos, the Plateau State Capital.

The middle-aged Lebanese Nationale identified as Simo, who was allegedly sleeping with 14 under-aged girls was arrested Thursday.

The Lebanese man who was said to have lured the minors to his resident was accused of impregnating 7 of them.

His arrest followed a complaint by the parents of an 11 years old girl who he allegedly molested which led to the revelation of the other victims.

The situation triggered protest by community members who stormed the Police Station, calling for justice for the victims.

They were, however, repelled with teargas from armed Policemen stationed around the community.

Spokesman of the Plateau State Police Command ASP, Gabriel Ubah confirmed the arrest of the suspect.

He added that the investigation is ongoing with the case transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
