Libya Deports 48 Nigerian Women, Two Children

The Libyan Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM), in collaboration with Nigeria’s consular services and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), has deported 48 Nigerian women and two children.

The repatriation took place through Mitiga International Airport, ensuring the safe return of the migrants to Nigeria. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to assist Nigerian nationals experiencing hardship abroad, particularly in conflict-affected regions like Libya.

Migrant Rescue Watch announced the development on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, stating, “DCIM repatriated from Tripoli with 🇳🇬 consular and 🇺🇳 IOM support 48 #migrant females with 2 children of Nigerian nationality via Mitiga Int. Airport.”
