Clement Annie Okonkwo (23 May 1960 – 7 June 2023) was a prominent Nigerian politician and successful business mogul. He served as a Nigerian Senator representing the Anambra Central constituency, beginning his term on 29 May 2007. Okonkwo was affiliated with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Born on 23 May 1960 in Ojoto, near Onitsha in Anambra State, Okonkwo pursued advanced diplomas in various fields. He obtained an Advanced Diploma in Management from Harvard University, USA (1997–1998), an Advanced Diploma in Commercial Law and Practice from the University of Lagos (1995–1997), and an Advanced Diploma in Marketing from the University of Lagos (1994–1995). Alongside his political career, he ventured into business and successfully established a conglomerate that employed over 7,000 individuals. Notable companies under his conglomerate included Reliance Telecomm, Clemco Industries, Modern Communications (satellite TV Network), MacClemm Marketing Communications, Sunflower Nigeria, and Pentagon Oil.

During his tenure in the Senate, Okonkwo actively participated in various committees, including Upstream Petroleum Resources, Police Affairs, Environment (vice-chairman), and Agriculture. He was recognized for sponsoring bills focused on ensuring accessible and affordable essential commodities for Nigerians and establishing the Nigerians Citizens in Diaspora Commission. In February 2010, he contested the Anambra State Governorship elections but was defeated by the incumbent, Peter Obi, who secured re-election.
