The Middle Belt Forum (MBF), Kaduna state chapter said the abrogation of indigene/settler dichotomy by Governor Nasir el-Rufai of kaduna state is a deliberate effort targeted at them and to wipeout, eliminate and exterminate their people’s rights and privileges.
The forum also said  the action amounts to a deliberate effort to eradicate, wipeout, eliminate, exterminate thousands of years of history, languages, Cultures and diverse distinct Identifies, and vowed that it’ll be resisted.
A statement issued and signed by the forum’s Secretary John Haruna and made available to our correspondent on Monday stated that kaduna indigenes from Kaduna or Kogi would not be given same rights as indigene in Kastina, Sokoto, kano, Kebbi, Borno, Zamfara among others.
“The Middle Belt Forum states’ position is that, the Governor’s abrogation of settler indigene dictonomy amounts to a deliberate effort to eradicate, wipeout, eliminate, exterminate thousands of years of history, languages, Cultures and diverse distinct Identifies.
“If people from other states and countries like Chad, Niger, Mali, Turkey etc. can come to Kaduna and be given same rights as the( abolished) indigenes, will indigenes from Kaduna or Kogi be given same right as indigene in Kastina, Sokoto, kano, Kebbi, Born, Zamfara etc.

“This isolation and targeted dehumanization must be resisted by all people of goodwill within and outside Nigeria. “History has shown that the worst genocide, killing entire member of indigenous communities have been carried out by seeking to declare the ancestral territories of the people vasland land “NO MANS LAND”, it stated.
It further stated that “Today, members of many communities, especially Adara Nation in Kaduna State for instance are subjected to genocide killing. Their homes land has been balkanised into” kajuru emirate” and Kachia Chiefdom. The Adara Nation is victims today, tomorrow other Kaduna indigenes and later, it will be Choboks, Igalas, Yoruba’s, Igbos, Efiks and Kanuris. The Forum therefore called on the indigenous Middle Belt Region and Kaduna State in particular to reject, condemned, and “Impugn, Abhor, despised and comprehensively say a resounding “NO” to  Governor El Rufai attempt to eradicate people privileges and rights”.
Earlier, the forum stated that “I want to draw our attention to yet another renew onslaught and attack currently going on across the Middle Belt Region, Southern Kaduna in particular, when we taught that peace is gradually returning to the trouble zone.
“Let the indigenous Nigerians across the states from the Middle Belt Region rise now and said ENOUGH is ENOUGH, our soldiers should refuse their dubious command and secure their people. Senate and house of representative members should stand up to their duties and stop this evil before they destroy all of us. we are tired of giving mass burial to innocent souls across the Middle Belt Region.
“The forum unequivocally condemned in it totality the killings that took place in Zango Kataf and other part of the Middle Belt Region and commiserate with the entire families of those that lost their lives and pray for quick recovery of those that sustained injuries of various degrees.
“The renew attack by these blood thirsty herdsmen is a reflection of the resurging insecurity ripping across various communities in the Middle Belt, in Kaduna state, agent of terror have continued to let loose their long fang of horror and spreading dread as tension continue to brew in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State. “The killing of a district head in Mazagi, Mr Haruna Kuye and his teenage son had led to the deployment of security personnel to that area. The present tension in Kaduna State is coming on the heals of the spate of killing and discrimination been carried out by various organs of government in the state particularly to the people of Adara communities in Kajuru Local Government  where dozens people have been killed with  thousands rendered homeless and now in in various IDPS camps with a bleak future.
“The Forum once again which to condemned these inexusade and unwarranted renewed attacks on peaceful communities by these murderous bandits.

“The Forum want to reiterate it stand that our vision cannot be distracted, our Mission cannot be derailed. Our Motto which is “OUR PEOPLE, OUR LAND, OUR HERITAGE” .must be pursue  vigorously, unabated  without fear or favour and without fear of any intimidation. We must move on and nobody can stop us from realizing our Goals and Objectives. Struggle continues and we will not give up no matter the intimidation. We remain resolute in pursuing our course”, The Forum further stated.
