Mama Runsewe boosts Nigeria’s Arts, Crafts Industry

Mother of the Director General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, NCAC, Mrs Felicia Adesola Runsewe at the weekend in Lagos boosted the Nigerian Arts and Crafts entrepreneurship.
Mama Runsewe who was fondly called Mama Kaduna is the mother of the Director General of NCAC, Otunba Segun Runsewe.
Mama Runsewe’s home call was used as platform to showcase the nation’s arts and crafts entrepreneurship at the Eagle Square, Surulere venue for the post interment reception.

Runsewe had promised that burial activities of his late mother would become a veritable platform to empower and showcase talents and community of crafts entrepreneurs with gifts and skills on local fabrics and Art works.

The NCAC boss said, ” Although Mama Kaduna is no more with us, the culturization of her passage has enriched the community of local entrepreneurship, empowering their very visibility z job creation potentials; a post COVID-19 gains which most push the button of cultural tourism beyond our national frontier.”

The upscale venue wore various indigenous Craft works, made from art materials carefully blended with local fabrics, showcasing the local entrepreneurial skills in interior and exterior decorations.

At the entrance, a canoe fully captured in a row mission, flanked by a dummy of the iconic Eyo masquerade raved the imagination of invitees, who reflexively took to selfies to capture the grand Cultural innovations.

Music was supplied by the Nigerian Fuji minstrel sir Shina Peters for a sitting capacity of three thousand people well adored by local Crafts and art works.

NACA said that in line with the covid 19 protocols, all the gates and entrances, at the chapel of light church Idi Araba, venue of the commendation service and the reception at the eagle club, was manned by a medical emergency team, with face masks and sanitizers for all invitees, in total compliance with the mandatory Covid-19 preventive Culture.
